USAID/SIDA Fostering Interventions for Rapid Market Advancement (FIRMA) in Bosnia and Herzegovina (BiH)
The objective of FIRMA is to generate sustained economic growth measured as increases in sales and employment and improved capacity of private enterprises to withstand competitive pressures emanating from a globalized economy.
The purpose of FIRMA project is to increase sustainable economic growth and employment in three sectors (wood processing, tourism, and light manufacturing/metal processing) by enhancing the competitiveness of the BiH small and medium size enterprises (SMEs).
FIRMA provides targeted, demand-driven assistance to SMEs in targeted sectors in addressing critical constraints for growth such as: poor quality/ design of products; inadequate marketing and links to global markets; limited supply of skilled labor and limited access to finance.Also, FIRMA will provide assistance in addressing policy constraints for growth of private enterprises in targeted sectors.
